In Search of the Obelisk Details
- Hours of operation: Open daily, 1 p.m. - 7 p.m. Show runs approximately every 15 minutes.

- Location: Located inside the Luxor hotel-casino near the intersection of the Vegas Strip and Tropicana Avenue.
- Age/Height/Weight restrictions: Riders must be 48 inches tall and weigh no more than 250 pounds. All riders must wear a seatbelt during the ride.
In Search of the Obelisk Review
"In Search of the Obelisk" takes riders on a one-of-a-kind adventure as an expedition crew races against the menacing Dr. Osiris for the crystal obelisk.
"Civilians" begin their journey by boarding an elevator that descends many levels below the pyramid. But it is soon apparent the elevator has been sabotaged as a cable snaps and passengers plummet into the depths of the excavation site. The problem is fixed, but now riders find themselves on the wrong level and the expedition crew scrambles to find a way to return them to the Earth's surface.
A series of twists and turns ensue as the battle over the obelisk continues, including a high-speed chase through the mysterious caverns in the archaelogical dig site. The ride involves participants in the chase, using television monitors to explain the procedures and everything that is going on throughout the excavation site.
Although the ride is a little long for a motion simulator, every minute is action-packed and full of excitement.
