This weekend's events really pack a punch

Much like the fight itself, there's a huge buzz all around Las Vegas this weekend. You don't have to sit ringside, or even be in the arena, to be a part of the excitement when when Floyd Mayweather battles Manny Pacquiao.

Of course, there's plenty to do in Las Vegas before and after the main event. Check out this list of concerts, after parties, pre-parties and more, or scroll through our full weekend lineup.

No place cries freedom like Las Vegas, where you can do anything, anytime. Celebrate your independence with a fabulous Fourth of July weekend!

Fourth Fireworks

It wouldn't be the Fourth without fireworks, and Las Vegas has plenty of places to enjoy them. Caesars Palace will be launching fireworks at 9 p.m. for the entire center Strip to see. The Linq will also have a fireworks display just behind the High Roller at 9:30 p.m. You can also see the skies light up at Green Valley Ranch, Red Rock Resort and the Stratosphere. BOOM!

How about getting  up close and personal with the world's top mixed martial arts stars in the world? UFC International Fight Week returns July 7-12, filled with meet and greets, autograph signings, pool parties, concerts and more.

Kenny Chesney

There are plenty of explosive entertainment options, too, including country legends Kenny Chesney at the Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Reba, Brooks & Dunn at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

311

You can also enjoy the rhythm and blues of Boyz II Men at The Mirage or kick your feet in the real sand on Mandalay Bay Beach for 311.

Pool parties will be in full swing all weekend long, too, including performances by the world's top DJ's and artists at party spots like Foxtail Pool Club at SLS Las VegasEncore Beach Club, Wet Republic at MGM Grand, the pool district at The Cosmopolitan, TAO Beach at The Venetian and Rehab at the Hard Rock Hotel

The Country Club

If you're feeling patriotic, enjoy a meal with amazing views at The Country Club, An American Steakhouse at Wynn Las Vegas, or enjoy the flavorful All-American Bar and Grill at the Rio All-Suite Hotel  or American Coney Island at The D Las Vegas. Or show your true colors with a relaxing treatment at The Spa at Red Rock, followed by a trip to check out the White Lions and Royal White Tigers at Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage, and then cap the night with a performance of the Blue Man Group at the Monte Carlo.

For more traditional Independence Day revelry, take a quick ride to Henderson for the Fourth of July Celebration or continue on to Boulder City for the 67th Annual Damboree! You can enjoy everything from a pancake breakfast to a parade and midway booths, and of course, an evening fireworks show.

Forget socks or a tie. Get Dad what he really wants ... some fun in Las Vegas!

Don't surprise your dad with another dud this Father's Day. Chances are he still hasn't used all the socks you gave him last year. This Father's Day, get him something he really needs. A trip to Las Vegas! And hey, just to make sure he has a good time and all that, maybe you should join him ... you know, to make up for all those times he helped chaperon you. Great idea, isn't it?

Bear's Best

Start with a relaxing round on the links. Las Vegas has more than 55 championship golf courses crafted by some of the game's greats, such as Jack Nicklaus, Raymond Floyd, Tom Weiskopf and Arnold Palmer.

Now he's ready to get his adrenaline pumping. How about giving him a brand-new race car for Father's Day? OK, so he can't keep it ... but he'll enjoy the thrill of getting behind the wheel at Exotics Racing or the Richard Petty Driving Experience

Downtown Summerlin

Then, help Dad update his wardrobe with some stylish threads. You'll find everything you need to get Dad decked out in Las Vegas' amazing shopping centers, including the open-air Downtown Summerlin shops. Just please, skip the socks this time.

Charlie Palmer Steak

Once he's dressed to kill, it's time to fuel up. First, dinner -- most Dads love to eat, and Las Vegas has some of the most award-winning restaurants anywhere on the globe. Treat him to a memorable steak dinner at Charlie Palmer Steak at the Four Seasons, or Cut by Wolfgang Puck at The Palazzo. If he's a seafood lover, Rick Moonen's RM Seafood at Mandalay Bay has fine dining accommodations upstairs and a more casual setting on the ground floor to choose from, or treat Dad to fresh steamers, shrimp, lobster, crab, clam chowder and calamari at the Oyster Bar at Harrah's.

Finally, treat Dad to any of Las Vegas' unbeatable shows and you've got the perfect Father's Day gift -- a Las Vegas excursion that he'll think about fondly all year long.

Party by the pool all Memorial Day Weekend

Make your Memorial Day Weekend a truly memorable one with a Las Vegas getaway. You'll experience unparalleled pool parties, nightlife and entertainment that only Vegas can deliver.

Daylight at Mandalay Bay

Start with one of Las Vegas' legendary pool soirees. How about a few days with EDM icons Zedd, Kaskade, Avicii and David Guetta? They're all at Encore Beach Club during the long holiday weekend.

Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix and Tiesto headline at MGM Grand's Wet Republic and Porter Robinson, Benny Benassi, Dash Berlin and Cedric Gervais are spinning at Marquee Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan

Other Vegas pools and dayclubs that are sure to be hot spots during Memorial Day Weekend include Daylight at Mandalay Bay (pictured above), Drai's Beach Club at The Cromwell, Rehab at the Hard Rock Hotel and the pool parties at the Palms

Mariah Carey

Then, it's showtime! Catch Mariah Carey performing nothing but chart-topping hits in her new residency, Mariah Carey #1s at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Or get your laugh on at The Venetian with the hllarious stand up of Whitney Cummings or when Kevin Hart takes the stage at Mandalay Bay

LiFE

Continue the party deep into the night at any of Las Vegas' signature clubs. Live it up at LiFE inside SLS Las Vegas or check out the brand-new Omnia at Caesars Palace. You never know which celebrities you'll find and there's nothing like Las Vegas nightlife.

Add in the incredible restaurants, shopping, spas and more, and you'll have no problem making it a weekend to remember. Take advantage of the extra day and join the party in Vegas! Here's who you can find where all weekend long, or click here for our full show lineup:
