The Las Vegas Strip is 4.2 miles long, so get out and walk from the Stratosphere to Mandalay Bay and back for your own version of the 8K dash! (Or, if you are really adventurous, sign up for the upcoming Rock 'n' Roll marathon in December to run a marathon on the Strip at night.)
If you are into cycling, rent a bike and head out to Red Rock National Park for the day to tour the 13-mile long loop once or twice, or grab a canoe for some paddling or swimming at Lake Mead, just a short drive from the Strip.
If watching gymnasts contort their bodies and spring effortlessly through the air intrigues you, get your fill of the truly amazing artistic abilities of Cirque du Soleil performers in shows like O at Bellagio, KÁ at MGM Grand or Mystère at Treasure Island, or catch the circus acts with the kids at Circus Circus.
The 10-meter platform diving competition has ended, but
that's nothing compared to diving off the Stratosphere
