Trends, fashion, celebrities, events, music, and all things only Vegas
It's a monthlong celebration of culture, tradition and most importantly, beer.
Las Vegas has lots of excitement throughout Oktoberfest -- so much, that it begins in September. Join legendary Vegas icon Siegfried & Roy as they tap the ceremonial first keg Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. at Hofbrauhaus, just off of the Las Vegas Strip.
Hofbrauhaus, the first authentic German-Bavarian restaurant in Las Vegas, is the first replica of the world's most famous beer hall from its hand-painted ceilings to its food and drink. The beer is brewed in Munich under the 400-year-old purity law and shipped fresh to Las Vegas, and includes Hofbrau premium lager, wheat beer, dark beer and seasonal beers. Celebrity keg-tappers will appear throughout the Oktoberfest celebration!
The German-American Social Club of Nevada and the City of Las Vegas will hold their annual Oktoberfest event Oct. 6 from 2-10 p.m. at Centennial Plaza at the Historic Fifth Street School. The event is free and includes a new children’s activity area will featuring face painting, a magician, music, a balloon artist, games and other activities. Enjoy Apline music, yodeling and German folk dancing all day long! More information is available on the city's website.
For more Oktoberfest revelry, head downtown to the Golden Nugget for Fall Beer Fest Oct. 18-19. The event kicks off with the All-American Craft Beer Tasting, where you'll sample from more than 125 craft beer selections from more than 30 of America's hottest award-winning breweries. The fun continues with the Oktoberfest pool party at The Tank. Admission is free, and you'll enjoy live music, great food and a choice of more than 150 international and domestic craft beers.
Raise your glass and celebrate Oktoberfest in Las Vegas!
