Erin Go Bragh! The luck of the Irish is always with you in Las Vegas, where you'll find St. Patrick's Day events at the end of every rainbow. Here are places to enjoy traditional fare, authentic brews, or just to hang out and make your friends green with envy:
Craving some good ol' Irish grub? Head to Hennessey's Tavern on Fremont Street for a ramekin of shepherd's pie, an order of the pub's famous tavern fries and finish up with homemade Irish pudding. Afterward, head upstairs for live music in the world's largest pint glass! It's a St. Patrick's Day party waiting to happen!
There's plenty more to do while you're downtown. Check out the drink specials and giveaways at The D Las Vegas and Golden Gate while enjoying live music and more, and don't miss the Downtown St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl from 2 p.m. to midnight on March 17. Main Street Station, the Fremont and California hotels also are hosting weekend pub crawls.
If a traditional Irish bar setting is what you crave, Nine Fine Irishmen at New York-New York Hotel and Casino lives up to its name. This Victorian-style bar has two levels of outdoor patio seating with spectacular views of the Strip, sumptuous food, fine spirits, and live music nightly, and this weekend is celebrating with its annual Celtic Feis festival with entertainment all weekend.
Also on the south end of the Strip, you can enjoy a three-course prix fixe meal at Sundance Grill or an Irish-themed buffet inside the Silverton, while both Minus 5 Ice Bar locations (Mandalay Bay and Monte Carlo) are offering guests wearing green a free shot with entry on St. Patrick's Day.
At the South Point, choose from two Irish-themed menus. From 7-11 a.m., say "top o' the morning" with a Guinness Marinated Sirloin Steak, served with two eggs, Boxty potato cakes and Irish soda bread. From 11 a.m.-10 p.m., dine on O’Flaherty’s Split Pea Soup or dinner salad with traditional Corned Beef and Cabbage with broiled potatoes and carrots.
Take a seat at Brendan's Irish Pub at The Orleans, fashioned after an authentic Irish pub, for a tall glass of your favorite beer on tap, or spring for an old-fashioned Irish whiskey. The Irish Rhythm of the Dance, a richly costumed production featuring a live band, three tenors and more than 20 step dancers performing traditional Irish tunes, will run throughout the resort during St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
Also off of the Strip, Hard Rock Hotel's bars will have Irish drink specials, while Mr. Lucky's Cafe will offer $3 green beer. From March 15-17, Pink Taco will feature complimentary green tortilla chips, $2 street tacos and more.
Aliante will host a St. Patrick's Day party from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. on March 15 in its ETA Lounge, which includes a $16 Guinness beer bucket complete with complimentary T-shirt.
Grab your lucky charm and head over to the new O'Sheas on Las Vegas Boulevard by the Linq. They'll be hosting a block party March 15-17 from noon to midnight that will feel like a St. Patrick's Day parade on the Strip!
Nearby, Casa Fuente cigar lounge inside the Forum Shops at Caesars will offer all-day drink specials on March 17 and Trevi is celebrating the "luck of the Italians" with food & drink specials. And you'll find drink specials aplenty at Margaritaville in the Flamingo, the Rockhouse between The Venetian and The Palazzo and Rhumbar at The Mirage.
