Sounds of summer: Check out Las Vegas' August concert lineup

August is filled with amazing concerts, comedy and more all month long, so no matter what genre of music or entertainment you enjoy, it's all here waiting! Check out some of the top acts you'll only find in Las Vegas during the height of Vegas Season:

Lady Gaga

Kick off the month with any of several incredible concerts on Aug. 1. Pop diva Lady Gaga's Artrave tour hits the MGM Grand while Ed Sheeran takes the stage at The Cosmopolitan. Also on the 1st, Journey and the Steve Miller Band are in concert at Mandalay Bay; the Goo Goo Dolls and Daughtry are poolside at Red Rock ResortWeezer is at The Cosmopolitan and Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Los Lonely Boys are at the Palms. Rockers Queensryche play in their farewell tour, at the House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay on August 2; the same night The Legends of Hip Hop featuring DMX, Naughty by Nature and more are at the Hard Rock

Another superstar invades Las Vegas when Justin Timberlake brings the 20/20 Experience World Tour to MGM Grand on Aug. 8. Other great shows include country star Jake Owen at Mandalay Bay on Aug. 9; Deer Tick (Aug. 5) and Chromeo (Aug. 7) at Brooklyn Bowl; and Mandalay Beach hosts The Dirty Heads and Pepper on Aug 8. and The Counting Crows on Aug. 10. Lynryd Skynyrd is at Golden Nugget on Aug. 9, the same night Melissa Manchester plays at Suncoast, and rockers 38 Special perform at Eastside Cannery on Aug. 10. 

ZZ Top

The Joint inside the Hard Rock is home to a night of classic rock with Yes on Aug. 15. You can also let your hair down (especially your beard) the following night with ZZ Top and Jeff Beck. Fall Out Boy rocks The Cosmopolitan on Aug. 15. Grouplove/Portugal.The Man plays Brooklyn Bowl Aug. 16, and The Strokes (Aug. 20) and Interpol (Aug. 21) are at The Cosmopolitan.

John Legend

Spend an evening with superstar John Legend at The Cosmopolitan on Aug. 24. More great shows: The Presidents of the United States of America are at House of Blues Aug. 23; The Offspring and Bad Religion are at Hard Rock on Aug. 27; David Gray performs at the Hard Rock on Aug. 30; The Avett Brothers are at Brooklyn Bowl Aug. 29-31, the same dates you can catch more classic rock from Air Supply at The Orleans. Close out an unforgettable August on the 31st with country superstar Keith Urban at The Cosmopolitan.

Whitney Cummings

If you love great comedy, you'll have lots of laughs in August from Russell Peters at the Palms (Aug. 2); Deon Cole at Suncoast (Aug. 2); Jay Leno (Aug. 8), Kathy Griffin (Aug. 9), Daniel Tosh (Aug. 22), Joe Rogan (Aug. 29) and Ron White (Aug 1-2 & 30-31) at The MirageAndrew Dice Clay at the Hard Rock (Aug. 14-23); Dennis Miller (Aug. 8-9); Don Rickles (Aug. 16-17) at The Orleans; Caroline Rhea & Wendy Leibman (Aug. 1-2); Lisa Lampanelli (Aug. 8-9), Whitney Cummings (Aug. 15-16) and Joy Behar (Aug. 23-24) performing as part of the new Lipshtick Comedy Series at The Venetian; Rob Schneider (Aug. 8-10) and Dave Coulier (Aug. 22-24) are at South Point; and Adam Carolla at Treasure Island on Aug. 29.

Las Vegas also has some residencies for every musical taste. Britney Spears is ready to work ... well, you know, at Planet Hollywood from Aug. 16-23. Bruno Mars is at The Cosmopolitan Aug. 22-23 and '90s R&B and pop sensation Boyz II Men returns to The Mirage on Aug 29 to continue their run of Vegas performances. If you're hopelessly devoted to Olivia Newton-John, catch the Aussie diva all month long at the Flamingo
