Trends, fashion, celebrities, events, music, and all things only Vegas
Bulldozers. Hydraulic excavators. Hard hats.
I know what you're thinking. Big deal, right? You have construction sites where you live, sure.
But in Vegas, we're not talking about a construction site. Here, we call it a playground.
Dig This Las Vegas is now open, and it's your chance to get behind the wheel -- wait, there's no wheel on these monsters. OK, it's your chance to get behind the levers and stickshifts to operate real Caterpillar equipment on a 5-acre site where you can toss huge boulders and oversized tires and mounds and mounds of dirt around and run roughshod over the terrain in the process.
You'll get a quick video training session and plenty of direction from one of the instructors, and they'll be in contact with you throughout via headset, but once you hop inside and buckle in, it's all you. It's great fun for men and women and it's in a controlled environment.
Dig This Las Vegas is celebrating its opening with a special offer this weekend featuring introductory 1-hour "Dig" sessions for $119 (Dirt cheap for getting a shot to cruise around in one of these bad boys). So check out Las Vegas' newest attraction! We've laid the groundwork -- but, sorry, this time, you'll have to handle the heavy lifting. :)
Las Vegas is the ultimate playground for adults. It's not just about the A-list shows, award-winning restaurants, and celebrity-magnet nightclubs, its about being free to be yourself for the weekend, and sometimes that means getting a little dirty.
Beginning early April, there will be a new playground in town and it's all about being a kid again at the "Dig This - Heavy Equipment Playground." Within minutes, under the careful direction of experienced instructors, you will be operating a Caterpillar bulldozer or excavator through a rugged activities course. Move mountains of dirt, stack monster rocks, and dig huge holes, but most important, relive your childhood dreams!
If speed is on your list, then kick up the dirt at Sun Buggy Las Vegas. With various tours for all skill levels, there's a track for everyone. The Vegas Dunes Tour allows beginners to experience the magic of driving on the sand dunes a chance to take the wheel and see what it's all about. But for real dirt enthusiasts, the Vegas Mini Baja Chase is a chance to drive like your life depends on it!' It's a wild desert chase on 15,000 acres with the Las Vegas Strip in view from the tops of the dunes.
American Adventure Off-Road Tours offers two-wheeled and ATV adventures throughout the Southern Nevada landscape. For the explorer in you, head down to the Eldorado Canyon Mine Tour in Southern Clark County.
