Beach clubs, concerts -- Vegas redefines the pool scene
From party cabanas to concerts to the world's best DJs, Las Vegas has redefined and reinvented the pool experience (again). And, since summer in Vegas starts and ends longer than the rest of the country, you've got that much longer to enjoy the most lavish pools you'll find anywhere.
The newest addition to the ultra-pool experience in Las Vegas is the Boulevard Pool at Cosmopolitan Resort. Overlooking the Strip, the multilevel, open-air environment provides unobstructed sightlines in all directions, upbeat music, intimately spaced lounge chairs and daybeds, and a vibrant social scene with live musical performances to movies playing on the marquee. For a quieter, more relaxing day, enjoy the Bamboo Pool -- it's a soothing canyon-like environment with spa services, yoga and Pilates sessions.
You'll be swimming in luxury at Wet Republic, a 53,000-square-foot ultra-pool at MGM Grand, which features the only two saltwater pools on the Strip. Celebrity DJs keep the beat going on a daily basis! Enjoy European-style sunbathing at Moorea Beach Club at Mandalay Bay and get rid of those pesky tan lines, or enjoy access to the private pavilion for guests 21 and older.
Encore Beach Club at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas opened for the season on April 16! This 60,000-square-foot paradise includes 26 cabanas outfitted with refrigerators and flat-screen televisions along with the exclusivity and opulence of eight bungalows, all with amazing views of Las Vegas. Guests at Encore or Wynn can also have the option of enjoy the sophisticated and alluring elegance of the hotel pools nestled deeper in the property far from the commotion of daylife' parties.
Other great pool parties can be found at TAO Beach, on the roof of TAO Nightclub at The Venetian, and at the Palms Pool & Bungalows. This year, the Palms Resort hosted MTV's Spring Break -- and even after the cameras leave, guests can still experience the latest and greatest Palms excitement! For a unique pool experience, try the Golden Nugget Downtown, where you can whisk down a three-story waterslide, straight through a 200,000-gallon shark tank!
It's not always about the daytime party though. Relax in a serene atmosphere by the lake at a hidden lagoon with white sand beaches. The brand-new Ravella at Lake Las Vegas features an outdoor whirlpool and private cabanas with spectacular views of the lake. Book a private patio spa treatment room for the ultimate in lakeside luxury! The GO pool at Flamingo Las Vegas has acres of hidden paths and lounge areas, where privacy and tranquility await.
It's a summer-long pool party like none you've ever seen before, so grab your hottest swimwear, get to Vegas before summer ends, and spend a day at one of Las Vegas' ultimate pools! Life is short, summer is shorter!
Usually, spending a couple of hours with the mechanic isn't highly on everyone's list nor something you generally look forward to doing.
But when "The Mechanic" is Jason Statham's new hit movie and you're attending the red carpet premiere at Planet Hollywood, well, that's not so bad. Plus, you don't even need to beg for a rental car.
Statham was there, but wasn't about to reveal (at least to us) his plans for the evening: VIDEO
There were plenty of other stars on the carpet, including "Peepshow" stars Holly Madison and Laura Croft, mixed martial arts icon Randy Couture, actor Jason Flemyng, "The Mechanic" Director Simon West, Flamingo Las Vegas comedian/magician Nathan Burton, and the former host of "The Price is Right" at Bally's, Joey Fatone. We asked Fatone about the transition from boy band star to Vegas game-show host: VIDEO.
Check out our Facebook page for more videos featuring Madison and West and other pictures from the red carpet, and make sure you see Statham in the action in theaters. "The Mechanic" opens nationwide today!
