This kind of raw energy only comes to town once a year, so shift into high gear and get revved up for the fast-paced excitement of 2012 NASCAR Weekend at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway from March 9 - 11.

NASCAR Weekend is March 9-11 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.      Life in the fast lane, Vegas-style, includes the Stratosphere Pole Day, the Sam's Town 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race and the Kobalt Tools 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.

Special weekend packages are available where you'll enjoy the finest view of the competition as it unfolds on the 20-degree banking. The Dale Earnhardt Terrace and Richard Petty Terrace feature wide, flip-down seats with cup holders and a private concourse with restrooms, concessions and elevator access.

The main grandstand offers seating along the front stretch with terrific views of all the pit road and racing action. Seats in sections 1, 2 and 3 are benches with back support, and they provide easy access to concessions and restrooms.

No trip to the speedway would be complete without checking out the Neon Garage. You'll have unprecedented access to NASCAR's stars and teams, enjoy specialty concessions and be part of the winner's circle celebration.  Neon Garage access also allows you in the pit area on Friday, Saturday and during prerace on Sunday.

In Vegas, you can do more than just watch the action - you can be a part of it. At the speedway complex, you can drive or ride along in a 600-horsepower NASCAR-style stock car at the Richard Petty Driving Experience. You and your heart will be racing like never before.

Make Las Vegas the ultimate pit stop when NASCAR comes to town March 9 - 11!

Dirt Alert!

Las Vegas is the ultimate playground for adults.  It's not just about the A-list shows, award-winning restaurants, and celebrity-magnet nightclubs, its about being free to be yourself for the weekend, and sometimes that means getting a little dirty.

Dig ThisBeginning early April, there will be a new playground in town and it's all about being a kid again at the "Dig This - Heavy Equipment Playground."  Within minutes, under the careful direction of experienced instructors, you will be operating a Caterpillar bulldozer or excavator through a rugged activities course.  Move mountains of dirt, stack monster rocks, and dig huge holes, but most important, relive your childhood dreams!

If speed is on your list, then kick up the dirt at Sun Buggy Las Vegas.  With various tours for all skill levels, there's a track for everyone.  The Vegas Dunes Tour allows beginners to experience the magic of driving on the sand dunes a chance to take the wheel and see what it's all about.  But for real dirt enthusiasts, the Vegas Mini Baja Chase is a chance to drive like your life depends on it!'  It's a wild desert chase on 15,000 acres with the Las Vegas Strip in view from the tops of the dunes.

American Adventure Off-Road Tours offers two-wheeled and ATV adventures throughout the Southern Nevada landscape.  Near Primm Valley, beginners can enjoy the outdoor terrain with guided tours, and experience riders can run professional single-track race tracks with stops at the Historic Cabin and Buffalo Bill's Resort.  The RZR track takes you on the path of the old Mint 400 Race offering a one-of-a-kind professional experience.

For the explorer in you, head down to the Eldorado Canyon Mine Tour in Southern Clark County. This unique experience is located at the Historical Techatticup Mine - the oldest, richest and most famous gold mine in Nevada.  Enjoy exploring deep caverns in the historical mining tours or paddle a kayak at the scenic blue water cove trips on the Colorado River.  Bring your camera and take photos in the exact spot where famous photographers once captured this spectacular location!

When your day of adventure is over, relish in your new found abilities, or admire the talent of the true professionals.  The Monster Energy Supercross Finals at Sam Boyd Stadium showcases the best riders in the country May 7th.  And the Las Vegas Motor Speedway has ongoing events at their dirt track featuring top car and truck races throughout the year.
