Bring Fido on your next Vegas vacation

According to Road & Travel Magazine, 78 percent of pet owners travel with their pet and Vegas has unique options for guests looking to bring Fido. Here are a couple of only Vegas standouts:

Caesars Palace is among the pet-friendly hotels in Vegas.Canines receive the VIP treatment when they travel to any Caesars Entertainment resort in Las Vegas. Their popular program, PetStay Las Vegas, accommodates guests and their furry friends at Caesars Palace, Imperial Palace, Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Paris Las Vegas, Harrah's, Bally's and Flamingo Las Vegas - a total of eight resorts. As part of the PetStay Las Vegas program, guests and their pups receive in-room amenities including dog treats, food and water dishes, and a pet mat. Canines on the go are also presented with a map of dog-walking routes, on-property designated relief areas, and a variety of dog-friendly resources for pet walking, pet sitting, grooming services and veterinarian information. Sorry, no cats.

Trump International Hotel Las Vegas offers its guests
the Paws Massage Package, which includes a 30-minute Trump Classic Massage for guests and a 30-minute
massage for their pooch. The Las Vegas vacation package will allow pets and their parents to relax and unwind in the comfort of their own suite with dual treatments, both performed by a Spa at Trump massage therapist. In addition, Trump also donates a portion of the $200 cleaning fee for every dog that stays at the property to the Nevada SPCA No-Kill Animal Sanctuary. Cats are also welcome.

THEhotel at Mandalay Bay welcomes your four-legged friend with a special letter, doggie bag and a treat. The hotel also offers pet sitting and walking services for an extra fee. Amenities also include special meal options for man's best friend on the in-room dining menu, with items like the "Backyard Delight," which consists of hamburger, potatoes, zucchini, carrots, apples, parsley and ground turmeric. When Fido's ready for a little fresh air, "Barking Lot Lane" is just steps away. Owners are welcome to walk their dogs themselves or the concierge is available upon request, for an additional fee.

The Westin provides dog and cat owners with a pet bed, food and water bowls, and a mat, as well an official Westin "Pet in Room" sign, while the Riviera Hotel and Casino offers a mat, food dishes and dog treats along with a list of area pet-friendly service providers.

The Four Seasons also welcomes both dogs and cats under 25 pounds for a nominal fee.

Rumor Boutique Hotel even offers a Yappy Hour every Thursday that features games, prizes and yappatizers. Donations collected during the event go toward a local animal foundation.

Book your next trip, and don't forget your favorite furry little friends for a GRRRReat time!

Show off your athletic side with Vegas Olympic Games

Maybe you aren't limber enough to pull off a split or fast enough to compete in a 4-minute mile like our USA Olympic counterparts. But, that doesn't mean you can't participate in some alternative Olympic-style sports, Vegas-style!

The Las Vegas Strip is 4.2 miles long, so get out and walk from the Stratosphere to Mandalay Bay and back for your own version of the 8K dash! (Or, if you are really adventurous, sign up for the upcoming Rock 'n' Roll marathon in December to run a marathon on the Strip at night.)

If you are into cycling, rent a bike and head out to Red Rock National Park for the day to tour the 13-mile long loop once or twice, or grab a canoe for some paddling or swimming at Lake Mead, just a short drive from the Strip.

Mystere at Treasure IslandIf watching gymnasts contort their bodies and spring effortlessly through the air intrigues you, get your fill of the truly amazing artistic abilities of Cirque du Soleil performers in shows like O at Bellagio,  at MGM Grand or Mystère at Treasure Island, or catch the circus acts with the kids at Circus Circus.

The 10-meter platform diving competition has ended, but that's nothing compared to diving off the Stratosphere
Hotel Tower's SkyJump - a mere 108 floors from the ground! You may not win a gold medal, but you sure will have a story to tell!

Ready ... set ... go!

Experience a smaller, more intimate side of Vegas!

Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay

From traditional off-Broadway plays to unrivaled edgy comedy like "Cannibal: The Musical", the Insurgo Theatre at the Plaza Hotel is an intimate venue for independent productions. It's music to your ears as the English heartthrob Matt Goss performs in the elegant Gossy Room at Cleopatra's Barge at Caesars Palace. Enjoy music with a view from the private Foundation Room high atop Mandalay Bay. Cirque du Soleil presents an intimate and ultra-sexy variety show with Zumanity at New York-New York Hotel.  Enjoy this sensual show with your partner in a unique two-person love seat.

Forget the big chain restaurants while vacationing in Vegas! Bring out the culinary god or goddess for the ultimate in fine dining at MGM Grand's Joël Robuchon restaurant. Take in the breathtaking view at Mandalay Bay's MiX, where hostesses will direct you to your own private cocoon booth, surrounding you and your guest on three sides for a more intimate dining experience.  Downtown Vegas is home to two legendary and cozy restaurants - Hugo's Cellar at Four Queens, and Binion's Ranch Steakhouse at Binion's Casino.

Leave the crazy pool parties beyond and allow yourself to be kissed by the sun at Vdara's private retreats or Wynn Las Vegas' exclusive cabanas; or lounge the afternoon away in the private cabana and pool area at The Palazzo's pool.

Bathe in luxury at some of Vegas' more intimate spas for an afternoon of complete relaxation such as the Westin Hibiscus Spa; reserve a Swedish massage at the Bathhouse at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay, or whisk your troubles away in one of 17 treatment rooms at The Spa at Mandarin Oriental.

Vegas has it all, big and small.

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Vegas with tequila, margaritas!

Head down to the Las Vegas Strip on Cinco de Mayo for the best margaritas and tequila this side of the border!

Diego at MGM Grand boasts an unsurpassed selection of tequilas, with 125 different 100 percent Agave Tequila labels, while Tacos & Tequila at Luxor incorporates traditional elements of Mexican style and Las Vegas flair. Mix it up with a new concept from Chef Jose Andres at Cosmopolitan's China Poblano for a Chinese and Mexican melting pot dish, or, relax in the vibrant Border Grill at Mandalay Bay for a great view of the Lazy River just off Mandalay Bay Beach.

Tacos & TequilaGrab a mid-afternoon drink at Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo Cantina at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood or Taqueria Canonita at The Venetian, also close by, for a true "south of the border" taste. The restaurant's centerpiece boasts a lively exhibition kitchen, featuring sculpted steel and wrought-iron gates, colorful Mexican tiles and authentic Mexican folk art.

Spin the Wheel o' Sin at Monte Carlo's Diablo's Cantina for great deals on shots, beers and margaritas during happy hour, then grab a seat on their outdoor patio to enjoy the sights. Settle in at El Segundo Sol outside of the Fashion Show Mall for made-to-order margaritas with funky flavors like cucumber-mint and prickly pear.

Hussong's Cantina and Taqueria at Mandalay Place claims one of their bartenders, Don Carlos Orozco, from the original location, created the first margarita in 1941.  By mixing equal parts tequila, Damiana and lime, he served the concoction over ice in a salt-rimmed glass for Margarita Henkel, daughter of the German Ambassador to Mexico. Order one of Hussong's specially crafted tequilas or, if you have a sweet tooth, a Bloodtini or a Mexican Lemon Drop margarita.

If you want to head off the Strip, the hip Pink Taco at the Hard Rock Hotel features authentic Mexican craftwork and drinks and the Coasta Cantina at The Orleans on Tropicana Avenue will have your mouth watering with tequila shrimp and 99-cent margaritas during happy hour. Just a few stops on the Monorail, Vince Neil's Tres Rios at the LVH - Las Vegas Hotel features 18-month aged barreled tequilas; and downtown at Casa Don Juan's, homemade tortilla chips, fresh salsa and an expansive tequila collection add to the unique Arts District vibe. Happy hour specials are great, but why not treat your friends to 24 hour $.99 margaritas at any bar at the historic downtown Fremont Hotel! 5 friends - 5 drinks - 5 dollars!

So, grab a few amigos, head to your favorite Vegas Mexican restaurant, and have a drink (or two or three) to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Vegas!

Club the night away under the stars

Voodoo NightclubEnjoy the view from the two-story outdoor rooftop deck at VooDoo Lounge at the Rio (51 stories above the action of the Strip), or experience one of three open-air clubs at Wynn/Encore Las Vegas;  Surrender at Encore offers plush banquettes and go-go dancers, while XS turns up the heat poolside!  Whether you're hanging out on the North or South Patio, or dancing on the outdoor dance floor, at Tryst you'll be just feet from your own private waterfall - exclusively for nightclub patrons!

Join A-list celebs at the Palms' Ghostbar and have a drink on the outdoor sky deck offering a 360-degree view of the city and a see-thru floor (not for the faint of heart)!  Palms' Moon Nightclub has color-changing glass tiles and eye-catching imagery and a retractable roof designed specifically for our clear summer nights! Step outside TAO Nightclub at The Venetian's 40-foot-long, European-style terrace for outstanding views of the Strip.

Downtown's Gold Diggers Nightclub at the Golden Nugget has an outdoor terrace perched high above the Fremont Street Experience and its million lights of Viva Vision - the most spectacular light show in the world!  And under the Eiffel Tower and the lights of Paris, check out the exclusive Butterfly hidden high above Chateau Nightclub

If someone tells you to meet them at the Foundation Room - don't think twice!  Join them high atop Mandalay Bay for a private club experience with an unprecedented view of the city!  With so many options, it's hard to choose just one.  Just make sure to include celebrity-owned PURE Nightclub at Caesars Palace.  With an outdoor patio overlooking the center of the city, and celebrity hosted birthdays almost nightly, it's a hot spot that always draws the A crowd!

See you on the dance floor - in Vegas!

Give yourself VIP treatment and upgrade your Vegas experience

Sure, a Vegas getaway can be non-stop action and excitement if you want.  But the beauty of Vegas is that you can enjoy it at your own pace.  Slow it down and take some time to relax and indulge.

THEHotelLet us pamper you. Start by vowing to upgrade this summer's vacation to a VIP experience by booking a suite instead of a regular hotel room for the best in class and service. THEHotel at Mandalay Bay boasts service and sophistication on par with the best boutique hotels in the world and features one of the largest suites in Vegas at 725 square feet. Relax with fuzzy robes, down comforters and pillow-top mattresses for an amazing night's sleep. The Signature at MGM Grand also provides guests with a serene retreat and intimate setting where the focus is on personalized service. Plus, you're just steps away from MGM Grand!

In Las Vegas, everyone can feel like a VIP, which is why most resorts offer complimentary valet parking and personal baggage service. Let attendants take care of your luggage and vehicle as you jump right into your vacation in style.

Sometimes, a little too much "night on the town" requires some therapy of the spa kind. Vegas, of course, is up to the task. World-class spas dot the Strip. Spa Costa Del Sur at South Point, Canyon Ranch SpaClub at The Venetian, and Sahra Spa & Hammam at The Cosmopolitan are just a few of the destination spas in Las Vegas. Schedule a mud bath or tune out during a relaxation massage as a therapist rubs away your troubles in a soothing and tranquil environment.

Don't know where to start? Consider enlisting the assistance of a Vegas expert who will take the guesswork and planning out of your hands. Located in nearly every resort on the Strip, concierge representatives are essential for booking the best tours, dining, shows, nightclubs, golf outings and so much more. They can also help you plan a unique moment for your special someone like a birthday surprise, an elaborate proposal or a fun night out on the town.

Let loose and get ready to let Las Vegas pamper you in luxury.
