Head down to the Las Vegas Strip on Cinco de Mayo for the best margaritas and tequila this side of the border!
Diego at MGM Grand boasts an unsurpassed selection of tequilas, with 125 different 100 percent Agave Tequila labels, while Tacos & Tequila at Luxor incorporates traditional elements of Mexican style and Las Vegas flair. Mix it up with a new concept from Chef Jose Andres at Cosmopolitan's China Poblano for a Chinese and Mexican melting pot dish, or, relax in the vibrant Border Grill at Mandalay Bay for a great view of the Lazy River just off Mandalay Bay Beach.
Grab a mid-afternoon drink at Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo Cantina at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood or Taqueria Canonita at The Venetian, also close by, for a true "south of the border" taste. The restaurant's centerpiece boasts a lively exhibition kitchen, featuring sculpted steel and wrought-iron gates, colorful Mexican tiles and authentic Mexican folk art.
Spin the Wheel o' Sin at Monte Carlo's Diablo's Cantina for great deals on shots, beers and margaritas during happy hour, then grab a seat on their outdoor patio to enjoy the sights. Settle in at El Segundo Sol outside of the Fashion Show Mall for made-to-order margaritas with funky flavors like cucumber-mint and prickly pear.
Hussong's Cantina and Taqueria at Mandalay Place claims one of their bartenders, Don Carlos Orozco, from the original location, created the first margarita in 1941. By mixing equal parts tequila, Damiana and lime, he served the concoction over ice in a salt-rimmed glass for Margarita Henkel, daughter of the German Ambassador to Mexico. Order one of Hussong's specially crafted tequilas or, if you have a sweet tooth, a Bloodtini or a Mexican Lemon Drop margarita.
If you want to head off the Strip, the hip Pink Taco at the Hard Rock Hotel features authentic Mexican craftwork and drinks and the Coasta Cantina at The Orleans on Tropicana Avenue will have your mouth watering with tequila shrimp and 99-cent margaritas during happy hour. Just a few stops on the Monorail, Vince Neil's Tres Rios at the LVH - Las Vegas Hotel features 18-month aged barreled tequilas; and downtown at Casa Don Juan's, homemade tortilla chips, fresh salsa and an expansive tequila collection add to the unique Arts District vibe. Happy hour specials are great, but why not treat your friends to 24 hour $.99 margaritas at any bar at the historic downtown Fremont Hotel! 5 friends - 5 drinks - 5 dollars!
So, grab a few amigos, head to your favorite Vegas Mexican restaurant, and have a drink (or two or three) to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Vegas!

This weekend is traditionally one of the busiest of the year, thanks to a certain pro football championship game that people love to watch in Vegas. This year, however, there's also a live UFC event, so there's a full slate of "kickoff parties" to choose from all weekend long!
It starts on Friday, Feb. 3, with pre-fight parties. Forest Griffin hosts at Lavo inside the Palazzo and RYU premium performance apparel is hosting a bash at Wynn Las Vegas' Tryst. OTM Fight Shops is holding its pre-fight event at Luxor's LAX.
There are plenty of football-related pre-game events, too, including the Super Party at Rain inside the Palms, the Big Game Weekend Kick-Off with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit models at 1OAK at The Mirage, the Big Game's Biggest Party at Planet Hollywood's Gallery Nightclub and the Big Game Weekend Celebration at Chateau inside Paris Las Vegas.
On Saturday night, the UFC 143 After Party with Georges St. Pierre is at Tryst and RPM Nightclub hosts its Fight After Party with DJ Benji and Joel Madden. LL Cool J and Z-Trip host the closing party for Studio 54 at the MGM Grand.

Sit back, relax and prepare to be mesmerized by world-renowned magicians and illusionists in the entertainment capital of the world.
Two of the most well-known magicians of their time, Penn & Teller, draw large crowds with a unique mix of comedy and magic involving knives, guns, fire, a showgirl and so much more at the Rio Hotel. Known as the "Bad Boys of Magic" for supposedly revealing secrets to their tricks, these magicians still manage to leave you guessing.
Planet Hollywood's Miracle Mile Shops theaters play host to a plethora of comedians and entertainers. One eccentric magician whose strange sense of humor and unusual stage antics have earned him recognition by the International Magic Awards for "Best Comedy Magician," The Amazing Johnathan tantalizes audiences with his adult-themed show at the Harmon Theater. New to Vegas, illusionist Michael Turco, who had a recent stint on NBC's America's Got Talent, is set to bring his new show to the Saxe Theater on February 16; he'll team up with Dancing with the Stars dancer Lacey Schwimmer, who choreographs the show! Finally, back after a 10-year hiatus, the first female magician to have her own headlining magic show on the Strip during the 1990s, Melinda - First Lady of Magic, launches her comeback as an act in V - The Ultimate Variety Show.
Nathan Burton is sure to turn a few heads in his production at the Flamingo that offers an action-packed magic show that's great for the entire family. Criss Angel's BELIEVE by Cirque du Soleil at Luxor takes you deep inside the creative and mythical world of imagination in this fairy tale performance. Mind reader and prankster Mike Hammer will leave you on the edge of your seat with his double-edged razor-blade swallowing trick at the Four Queens Hotel and Casino, while Mac King will have you laughing out loud at his quirky sense of humor and visual gags at Harrah's.
Don't miss Magic of Paris at the Paris Hotel and Casino to see (or not see) illusionist Stephane Vanel. Also, the new Vegas Magic Theatre at Gold Coast features magician Ben Stone and a variety of entertainers ranging from illusionists, comedy magicians and variety acts - every week is a different show! Finally, catch a glimpse of Dirk Arthur's show, Wild Magic, at O'Shea's Casino for the rare opportunity to see him interact with 400- to 600-pound Siberian tigers!
Get ready to be amazed and ask yourself "How'd they do that?!" Book your trip today and see the world's greatest magicians day and night, only in Vegas.
Only in Las Vegas can you see dancing water fountains, a roller coaster, a volcano, a free show featuring sexy sirens, and more - all without ever setting foot indoors.
Take a stroll down one of the world's most famous stretches of road, Las Vegas Boulevard, and take in a variety of sights as you walk.
The roller coaster at New York-New York soars overhead across the Manhattan skyline, and just up the road, you can enjoy outdoor dining with breathtaking views at Cabo Wabo Cantina and PBR Rock Bar & Grill outside Planet Hollywood, Mon Ami Gabi at Paris Las Vegas and Margaritaville at the Flamingo Las Vegas.
Of course, the Fountains of Bellagio and erupting Volcano at The Mirage are always marvelous to see, but continue down the Strip, safely past the pirates and sirens of Treasure Island, and enjoy the view of the Venetian Plaza and the Lake of Dreams at Wynn Las Vegas.
A world of excitement on one block - only in Las Vegas!
