Vegas Weekend: Setting the scene -- A weekend filled with knockdowns and touchdowns

This weekend is traditionally one of the busiest of the year, thanks to a certain pro football championship game that people love to watch in Vegas. This year, however, there's also a live UFC event, so there's a full slate of "kickoff parties" to choose from all weekend long!

It starts on Friday, Feb. 3, with pre-fight parties. Forest Griffin hosts at Lavo inside the Palazzo and RYU premium performance apparel is hosting a bash at Wynn Las Vegas' Tryst. OTM Fight Shops is holding its pre-fight event at Luxor's LAX.

There are plenty of football-related pre-game events, too, including the Super Party at Rain inside the Palms, the Big Game Weekend Kick-Off with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit models at 1OAK at The Mirage, the Big Game's Biggest Party at Planet Hollywood's Gallery Nightclub and the Big Game Weekend Celebration at Chateau inside Paris Las Vegas.

The 4th Annual Cheer Bowl takes place this weekend at The Bank inside Bellagio.    Other huge Friday night events include Apl.De.Ap performing at TAO inside The Venetian, Alesso spinning at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas' XS Nightclub and Gabriel & Dresden at Marquee at the Cosmopolitan.

On Saturday night, the UFC 143 After Party with Georges St. Pierre is at Tryst and RPM Nightclub hosts its Fight After Party with DJ Benji and Joel Madden. LL Cool J and Z-Trip host the closing party for Studio 54 at the MGM Grand.

The 4th Annual Cheer Bowl takes place at The Bank at Bellagio, while Kelly Rowland performs at PURE inside Caesars Palace and Vanilla Ice takes the stage at LAX.

Tiesto spins at XS Nightclub, Zen Freeman and Mark Stylz provide the beats at the Palms' Ghostbar, Richard Durand spins at Rain and Kaskade is on the 1s and 2s at Marquee.

Close out the weekend on Sunday with the continuation of the Cheer Bowl at The Bank and Ghostbar Sundays with PJ Produkt.

Knockdowns, touchdowns and nightlife you won't find anywhere else - only in Vegas!

Have no fear; there’s plenty of frightful Vegas fun on Howloweekend

It's the one time of year where you can let out screams and it won't even seem remotely strange - and there's no place better to enjoy frightful fun than Las Vegas, with four days of concerts, freak shows, haunted houses, fantasy balls and more.
Adventure Dome at Circus Circus Hotel is an indoor theme park where the screams normally come from roller coasters and thrill rides. But October welcomes the creepy side as this indoor attraction turns into "Fright Dome." Since 2003, the 5-acre Fright Dome attraction has been one of the top-rated haunted attractions in the United States.
This year you can experience the terror of the popular "SAW" horror film series. Will you be able to escape the demented games of serial killer Jigsaw? Chainsaw Massacre has the record for the most guests using the "chicken exits," but this time, the exits are sealed shut! Will you survive? With five unique haunts under one roof, Fright Dome is guaranteed to make you tremble!
The Halloween Parade in downtown Las Vegas is frightfully fun.    For those who would prefer to watch than be watched, Fremont Street Experience offers October FrightFest. The entire mall has Halloween décor from top to bottom and the stage entertainment follows a Halloween theme, this year toting Frank & The Steins - a stage production show - and Vampire Rising performing live music.
If you're seeking a more scintillating holiday, one of the most outrageous parties takes place on Oct. 29 with the annual Fetish & Fantasy Ball at South Point. Join more than 7,000 partygoers for one of the wildest and sexiest events of the year.
On Oct. 30 - 31, you can take a special Haunted Tour at Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at Luxor, check out the Las Vegas Halloween Parade downtown.
Make Vegas your Halloween destination for a weekend filled with thrills and chills!

When the sun goes down, the club scene heats up

Nightlife in Las Vegas has never been more exciting! Come down and dance the night away at some of the newest hot spots in Las Vegas.

Check out the Chateau Nightclub & Gardens at Paris Las Vegas. Find your groove on the centralized dance floor featuring vaulted ceilings, ornate chandeliers and an elevated DJ booth or take the glass elevators to Chateau Garden, an outdoor nightlife experience and lavish rooftop garden featuring beautiful greenery and lush cabanas.

From there, visit the multilevel, 60,000-square-foot paradise that is Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan, with its three lavish rooms and various musical experiences.

Another new Las Vegas club experience is Gallery at Planet Hollywood, where vintage gothic design with contemporary touches help every room in the club expose a new "secret." Gorgeous performance dancers styled in voyeuristic fashions perform nightly.

Whichever nightclub you choose to visit, be sure to keep your eyes out for the hottest celebrities. The rich and famous always show up at Las Vegas hot spots such as PURE at Caesars Palace, TAO Nightclub at The Venetian, Vanity at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, LAX at Luxor, 1OAK at The Mirage, and Rain and Moon at the Palms.
