Celebrate El Grito in Vegas!

Celebrate Mexican Independence Day in the most exciting city on Earth. Come to Las Vegas Sept. 15-18 and experience El Grito! It's a four-day fiesta honoring Latin culture, packed with concerts, parades and mariachi festivals.

Latin pop artist Alejandro Fernandez kicks things off with a concert at MGM Grand on Sept. 15. Marco Antonio Solis & Ana Gabriel take the stage at Mandalay Bay on Sept. 16, the same night that Pedro Fernandez performs at the Cosmopolitan. You can also catch Latin music star Luis Miguel all weekend long at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Go inside the mind of Carlos Mencia for a night of great comedy on Sept. 16 at Treasure Island or spend the entire weekend laughing it up with Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias at MGM Grand.

On Sept. 17, head downtown for the Las Vegas Latino Parade and Festival, featuring an array of colorful floats, performing artists, traditional food and family activities.

Mariachi USA Fiesta at Nikki Beach is one of the many festivities at El Grito.     If you enjoy mariachi, check out the 21st Annual International Mariachi Festival at Planet Hollywood.

Celebrate Mexican culture Las Vegas-style -- at El Grito!

Laugh it up with the biggest names in comedy

David SpadeThe biggest names in comedy are taking the stage in Las Vegas this summer, so get ready to laugh like you've never laughed before.

How about a show about ... nothing? That premise made Jerry Seinfeld and his sitcom the top TV show of its era, and now he's bringing that same observational humor to Caesars Palace Aug. 19 - 20.

The "terms of engagement" for a great night of laughter with David Spade are simple - make your plans to see him at The Venetian Aug. 26 - 27. And you know everybody loves Raymond - you'll love his stand-up routine, too, when Ray Romano performs at The Mirage that same weekend.

Tracy Morgan leaves 30 Rock for a show at the Joint at the Hard Rock on Sept.4; Bill Maher brings his politically incorrect humor to The Orleans Sept. 10 - 11; and you can go inside the mind of Carlos Mencia at Treasure Island on Sept. 16.

Get your laugh on all summer in Vegas!

Forget flowers and a card -- treat Mom to Vegas!

Flowers, chocolates and cards are nice, sure, but this Mother's Day, give your mom something that will last forever -- memories of an amazing Mother's Day trip to Las Vegas!

Remember those times she cooked and did the dishes? It's her turn to enjoy some great food. Fortunately, there's still time to take part in the culinary event of the year -- Vegas Uncork'd! The world's greatest chefs and sommeliers gathered for a weekend of delectable dishes.

Moms deserve to be pampered, too, so set her up with a treatment from any of Las Vegas' unique, invigorating and refreshing spas.

Help her escape to  Qua Baths and Spa's Arctic Ice Room at Caesars Palace, where she can relax in the "snow" in the form of mint-infused air falling from a domed ceiling at 55 degrees.  It's the coolest spa treatment she'll ever enjoy, and it's only in Vegas. The Palms Place Pool & Spa combines the cultural histories of Turkey, Tunisia, Morocco and Spain and is the first spa in Las Vegas to offer a hammam - a traditional Turkish bath.

Other refreshing and invigorating signature treatments that Mom will love can be found at the Adventure Spa at Red Rock Resort, the Canyon Ranch Spa at the VenetianOleksandra Spa at Treasure Island and the Aquae Sulis Spa at the J.W. Marriott, to name a few.

Then, it's time to treat Mom to a real Vegas show! Watch a dream unfold before your eyes at Le Reve at Wynn Las Vegas.

So many ways to express your gratitude, so give Mom the Mother's Day experience of a lifetime in Vegas!

When green mixes with gold and silver

Earth Day is all about going "green" -- and for buildings, that means ecofriendly and sustainable construction.

In Vegas, though, our green comes in different shades -- mainly gold and silver.

City Center, MGM Resorts International's$8.5 billion mega-complex on the Strip, is the biggest project ever to receive LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) gold certification. Here are some ways you can experience Earth Day at City Center.

Caesars Entertainment Corp. recent expansion of the Octavius Convention Center at Caesars Palace garnered silver LEED certification as well.

Is platinum a color? OK, maybe not, but the Las Vegas  Springs Preserve earned platinum LEED certification for its 149,000+ square feet of buildings, making them among the most green in the nation.

MGM Resorts also claims the Strip's only water recycling plant, at Treasure Island. It processes 100,000 gallons of gray water daily. The recycled water is then used in the Sirens Cove at TI, at the Volcano at The Mirage, and for landscaping.
