Vegas Weekend: Setting the scene - Cee Lo, Lil Jon & Tiesto light up the club circuit

     He's starred in a Vegas commercial, and has an upcoming monthlong residency at Planet Hollywood later this summer, but this Friday night at The Mirage's 1 OAK, catch The Voice star Cee Lo Green performing live. For more live music, catch Fantasy lead vocalist Lorena Peril performing at LAX on Saturday. There are plenty of top-make music producers in town this weekend as well, including Tiesto, Sander van Doorn, Avicii, Hardwell, Lil Jon, DJ Vice and Kaskade. The complete rundown:

  • Top of the World at Stratosphere is offering a four-course brunch with a complimentary mimosa or glass of champagne for $49 per person.
  • Enjoy an amazing spread of springtime classics at Simon at Palms Place during an exclusive Easter brunch buffet selected by celebrity chef Kerry Simon. The spiral ham, leg of lamb and bread pudding are musts.
  • If you're a little slower than others to get in gear on Sunday morning, Planet Hollywood's Strip House is featuring Easter specials later in the day, including warm goat cheese salad, roast saddle of lamb and sour cream bundt cake.
  • As a finale, be sure to check out L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon at MGM Grand for the debut of their one-of-a-kind chocolate display celebrating the spring season. More than 110 pounds of milk, dark and white chocolate, 2,000 tablespoons of sugar and 50 containers of colored cocoa butter were used to create the showcase of chocolate bunnies, hens and eggs; sugar picnic baskets, bows, flowers, shells and fish; plus, a variety of fondant bird cages filled with sweet surprises.

Vegas Weekend: Setting the scene – Irish eyes are smilin’ all weekend with Flogging Molly, Shaq, Akon and more

 

     St. Patrick's Day is upon us and at the end of the rainbow lies ... Las Vegas, where Irish-themed celebrations and celebrities and nightlife collide all weekend long!

     For some Vegas-style St. Patrick's Day revelry, head to O'Sheas on the Las Vegas Strip for an all-day party led by Lucky the Leprechaun from noon till 2 a.m., with food and drink specials and live entertainment. Or say one last goodbye to Fitzgerald's as the downtown hotel has become The D Las Vegas

     You can also celebrate the one-year anniversary of Irish pub Rí Rá Las Vegas inside The Shoppes at Mandalay Place with live music, giveaways and even a parade through the resort featuring bagpipers and Irish dancers beginning at 11 a.m.

Vegas Weekend: Setting the scene -- ringing in the New Year!

     New Year's weekend in Vegas is about much more than just watching a ball drop and waving goodbye to one year to usher in another -- it's about celebration, revelry, and a lineup of entertainment that you won't find anywhere else in the world.

     This year, Las Vegas has three new club experiences opening around New Year's Eve -- 1OAK at The Mirage and Hyde at Bellagio. And that's just the beginning. Here's a look at the weekend scene:

     Get your weekend started early on Thursday with Fedde LeGrand spinning at Tryst inside Wynn Las Vegas and Benny Benassi at TAO at The Venetian.

Guns N' Roses performs Dec. 30-31 at The Joint inside the Hard Rock.     On Friday, rock icons Guns N' Roses play the first of two nights at the Joint inside the Hard Rock.

     You've also got plenty of nightlife options to fit every musical taste. Get "crunk" with Lil Jon and Steve Aoki & Lil Jon at Surrender inside Encore at Wynn Las Vegas; enjoy a taste of SHM with Sebastian Ingrosso at XS inside Wynn Las Vegas; catch Laidback Luke at Haze at ARIA; witness Tinie Tempah performing at The Bank inside Bellagio, rock out with Good Charlotte & The Situation at Chateau Nightclub and Gardens inside Paris Las Vegas; DJ Pauly D spins at the Hard Rock's Vanity; Dirty South spins at TAO; or party at the Palms with T-Pain at Rain or Clinton Sparks at Moon.

     On New Year's Eve, the stars come out all to ring in 2012! Keep up with the Kardashians -- Kim will be at TAO, Rob at Tryst and Kourtney and Scott Disick will host at Chateau Nightclub and Gardens  -- or celebrate with "Peepshow" star Holly Madison at Gallery inside Planet Hollywood.

John Legend plays at Pearl Theater on New Year's Eve before hosting the afterparty at Moon Nightclub.     The biggest names in music are hosting and performing, too, including: Black Eyed Peas members Will.I.Am at Surrender and Fergie at the opening of 1OAK; Chris Brown at Pure inside Caesars Palace; B.O.B. at Luxor's LAX; Bruno Mars at The Bank, John Legend follows his show at Pearl Theater with an after party at Moon and Iyaz at Revolution Lounge inside The Mirage.

     LMFAO brings some party rock to Haze; Kaskade spins at Marquee at the Cosmopolitan; Steve Angello is on the turntables at XS; Robbie Rivera is at Vanity; Samantha Ronson is at LAVO at The Palazzo and Paul Oakenfold rings in the new year at Rain.

     Other parties include the Cirque du Soleil NYE at Gold Lounge inside ARIA; The NYE Spectacular Spectacular at the Palms' Playboy Club and Foundation Room NYE Gala at Mandalay Bay and Rhumbash at Rhumbar at The Mirage.

America's Party: Las Vegas New Year 2012 will include a fireworks spectacular from the rooftops of resorts up and down the Strip.     There's even more revelry at America's Party Las Vegas 2012 with fireworks launched from the rooftops of hotels up and down the Strip!

     The fun doesn't end on New Year's Eve, however. On Sunday, kick off 2012 with Drake at the Joint, with an afterparty at Vanity, Afrojack spinning at XS an Akon at The Bank.

     You can also take advantage of the extended weekend and witness the debut of Deadmau5's residency at XS, or party with Avicii at Marquee.

Guys! Before you take the plunge, dive into Vegas for your bachelor party.

     What happens when you take the world's most exciting destination and give people an extra day to enjoy it? In Vegas, it means a four-day spectacle of celebrities, concerts and top music mixers. Fasten your seat belts -- you're in for a wild ride all weekend long.

     Gallery NightclubThe fun begins on Friday with pool parties. Will.i.am performs at Encore Beach Club, Roger Sanchez and EC Twins spin at Cosmopolitan's Marquee, DJ Vice is at TAO Beach atop the Venetian, DJ Pauly D gets some fists pumping at the Palms Pool for Ditch Fridays and Boris, Oscar G & Riva Starr are at the controls at Wet Republic at MGM Grand.

     The stars will be out Friday night, too, with Nicole Scherzinger and Nelly at Chateau Nightclub at Paris Las Vegas, Sammi Sweetheart and Deena Nicole at Gallery Nightclub inside Planet Hollywood and Ice-T and Coco at Vanity at the Hard Rock.

     Tao BeachThe world's top DJs will be in Vegas all weekend, too, starting Friday night with Deadmau5 at The Cheslea inside the Cosmopolitan, Skrillex and Lil Jon at Surrender Nightclub at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, Cedric Gervais spins at TAO, Armin Van Buuren at Marquee, DJ R.O.B. at Artisan, Paul Van Dyk at Haze inside ARIA, 30H!3 at Pure inside Caesars Palace, DJ E-Man spins at 1OAK at The Mirage, DJ Cassidy is at Bellagio's The Bank, Pauly D moves inside to the Palms' Rain and EC Twins perform at Lavo at The Palazzo.
