Violin "Soul-o-ist" Karen Briggs has toured extensively with contemporary composer Yanni, and performed with Stanley Clark, Chaka Khan, Wynton Marsalis, Kenny Loggins, Patrice Rushen and Diana Ross. She has enthralled audiences at Carnegie Hall, the Acropolis, London's Royal Albert Hall, Harlem's Apollo Theater and the Kennedy Center before bringing her incredible virtuosity to Las Vegas' Smith Center for the Performing Arts. Her musicianship is indicative of her exposure to Jazz, Gospel, Latin, Classical, African and mid-eastern music styles. All are combined with a unique melismatic, ‘vocal-like' soul, thus giving her a rare and distinguishable signature of sound. Transcending this vast array of musical genres and styles, Briggs' style epitomizes jazz itself.
