It's good to be bad -- especially if you're Anthony Jeselnik. Although the Pittsburgh-born comedian is well-known for his blue comedy, he's very nice in real life.
Jeselnik graduated from Tulane University with a degree in English literature before going into the world of humor. Hating to put rules on his material, no topic is off limits -- even things like rape and bulimia. Jeselnik's off-color yet hilarious jokes got him noticed early on. He was named one of Variety's "10 Comics to Watch" in 2008 and one of Comedy Central's "Hot Comics" in 2009.
In 2009, Jeselnik landed a job writing for the "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" show during its first season on air. He left a year later to focus on his stand-up act and made several appearances on other talk shows, such as "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and "Last Call with Carson Daly."
In recent years Jeselnik has become famous for roasting celebrities -- including Donald Trump, Charlie Sheen and Roseanne Bar. His first comedy special, "Anthony Jeselnik: Caligula," debuted on Comedy Central in mid-January 2013, and he will be starring in "The Jeselnik Offensive," a new program for that same cable network, beginning Feb. 19, 2013.
For those who like comedy that pushes the line, Jeselnik is the man to see. Based in New York City, where he often appears at the Comedy Cellar in Greenwich Village, Las Vegas visitors have the chance to catch him onstage at The Mirage.
