Armenian singing sensation Armen Gondrachyan has been performing since the age of seven. A talent passed down from his father, also a singer, Armen would sign whenever and wherever he could. Eventually he began to be recognized for his signing talents and adopted the nickname Armenchik when people would see him singing for anyone who would listen.
In 1989 the family moved to the U.S. and a couple of years later, Armen's father Harpet recorded an album that also featured Armen's vocals. In 1995, he released his first album at the age of 15 Armen & Nor Seround. Several years later he returned to Armenia and inspired by his return, recorded Armen, Memories From Armenia, which propelled him to stardom. Armen's first concert was held in 2003 in Glendale, Calif. where he performed to a sold-out, enthusiastic crowd.
