With invigorating music, innovative lighting effects, sensational technology and the antics of three captivating blue men, the show brings an over-the-top experience to audiences on the Las Vegas Strip.
The excitement starts with a dazzling percussive parade that begins 45 minutes before each show. The high-energy procession, a musical centipede of percussion instruments, musicians, robots and puppets co-created with world-renowned 3-D designer Michael Curry, immerses unknowing spectators into the imaginative world of the Blue Man Group. It's your first insight to the thrilling spectacle that awaits you when the Blue Man Group is onstage.
"We really wanted to connect with the audience before they even set foot in the theatre," said Phil Stanton, co-founder of Blue Man Group. "The music and party atmosphere is contagious. The drumming pulls people in and the wild visuals will make them feel like they've been transported to a fun and fantastical world."
The Blue Man Group has been an entertainment staple on the Strip since the show debuted in Vegas in 2000. For the past two years, the creative forces of Blue Man Group have been working to propel their indescribable celebration of art, technology and music to a new level at the Monte Carlo. In their new show audience members will be enveloped in a one-of-a-kind, colorful and interactive experience that only Blue Man Group can provide. The show incorporates the group's signature elements (like playing paint-covered drums) and new, playful acts with strange new instruments.
The show introduces two assembly-line robots, a sassy humanoid Showbot and an exploration of the human brain. During one of the show's most electrifying moments, a giant Brain Drum is played, illuminating a model of a neurological pathway in the theater's ceiling. Giant Smoke Drums emit mystical, ethereal smoke rings, and the Neuronulum, a new pipe instrument worn by two of the mimes, fills the house with haunting tones.
Blue Man Group is known around the world for its unique approach to combining music, comedy and multimedia elements to produce a dynamic, ever-changing and euphoric form of entertainment. The show's immersive party atmosphere has become the group's trademark. To date, more than 25 million people across the globe have shared in the joys of the Blue Man Group experience.
