Bobby Rydell

Bobby Rydell grew up in the same Italian neighborhood of South Philly as did Frankie Avalon and Fabian. In his early years, Bobby would sit in front of his television and impersonate performers such as Milton Berle, Louis Prima and Johnny Raye. In the late 1950s, Bobby recorded a song called Kissin' Time. The song was released and was extremely successful. Eventually Dick Clark played it on American Bandstand and within three weeks after its release, it was a national hit. Bobby was just 17 at the time.

During the 1960s, Bobby had nineteen hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. These included his most popular hit Wild One which was Bobby's highest charting single, reaching #2. Other songs included Volare, We Got Love, Swingin School and Forget Him. Combined sales totaled over 25 million records. Don't miss the opportunity to see the legend live at the Suncoast showroom!
