Late-night comedy gets a jolt with Comedy After Dark at the LVH – Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. This edgy comedy review showcases a rotating lineup of comedians along with host Jeremy Wieand and comedian Anthony Padilla. Many of the headliners, including Padilla, have been on television or in movies. Padilla has been featured in a number of TV shows, including the History channel’s “Pawn Stars” and “American Restoration.”
Wieand has also been in various TV shows that were popular in the '90s. He started his acting career when he was 11 and by the time he was 13 Wieand landed the role of Andy King in the TV series "Big Brother Jake." He appeared in the show for 100 episodes. Some of his other TV credits include "Boy Meets World," "Sister, Sister," "Boston Common" and "Saved By the Bell: The New Class." After a 10-year hiatus from the acting industry he decided to return to the stage, this time as a stand-up comedian. He proved his comedic chops and landed gigs at various comedy clubs, including The Comedy Store in Hollywood, Big Al's Comedy Club, The Laugh Factory, L.A. Comedy Club and King's Comedy Club at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Much of his comedy draws from his own embarrassing moments and short stature. He supplies the room with non-stop laughs between the headlining comedians at Comedy After Dark.Like Wieand, Padilla didn’t always have comedy on the agenda. His initial plan was to be a baseball player, but fate had other plans. He suffered a career-ending injury and turned his focus to comedy. He started performing as a stand-up comedian in Arizona. His quick wit and captivating storytelling soon landed him gigs working with already established artists like ’80s rockers Wang Chung and iconic comedian Louie Anderson. He performed as Anderson’s opening act for almost a year until he landed a spot headlining his own show.
Along with his work as a stand-up comedian, Padilla has appeared on the CW Network, A&E, the History Channel and Lifetime. He can currently be seen alongside Las Vegas professional sports handicapper Scott Pritchard, co-hosting "The Odds Couple," an online sports betting and entertainment show. His comedic observations appeal to audiences in all arenas.
