The Dropkick Murphys formed in 1996 as a way for close friends to get together and play music. They have a unique mix of punk, folk and Celtic styles and create a sometimes raucous, chaotic sound. The band's album, the "The Meanest of Times," includes personal stories from each of the bands experiences, from broken families to friends lost.
