In 1985, Gloria Trevi joined the female vocal quintet "Boquitas Pintadas" with whom she also recorded her own songs. Her rebellious spirit, ironic social criticism, and unique commercial savvy began to blossom. Three years later she recorded her first album, paving the way to fame that spared no time coming. The phenomenon of La Trevi immediately made its way into the movies with the artist's debut in the film "Pelo Suelto," breaking sales records in Mexican box offices. In response to her success in Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America, Gloria began her first international tour taking her from Puerto Rico to Argentina, setting off a wave of Trevimania throughout the entire continent.
