Hilariously unique, stand-up comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham is bringing his troupe of famed sidekicks to Las Vegas for his one-night-only show "Perfectly Unbalanced" show in the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
Joining Dunham on stage will be Walter the Grumpy Retiree, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, redneck Bubba J, the manic purple creature Peanut, the spicy pepper from south of the border José Jalapeño, and Peanut's own ventriloquist dummy Little Jeff -- a mini-version of the ringmaster himself.
However, besides the fact that Dunham has mastered the art of ventriloquism in order to captivate his audience in seconds, there is one more key factor that makes his puppets, so funny -- they are very unexpectedly relatable.
With the use of audience involvement and his unfiltered puppet friends, Dunham keeps his audiences laughing throughout his entire act.
Having won a multitude of awards including two-time Ventriloquist of the Year and TNN Music City News Country Awards' Comedian of the Year, 2008 top comic in Comedy Central's "Stand-Up Showdown," this famed funnyman has become a household name across America by bringing his troupe of characters to life and leaving his audiences in stitches in the process.
After touring the world for the past 28 years, including his resident show "Not Playing with a Full Deck" at Planet Hollywood last year, Dunham has become a phenomenally successful global entertainment brand with television specials and series that have been the highest rated programming in Comedy Central history, DVD sales that have surpassed 7 million units, and videos that have exceeded half a billion views on YouTube. Also with his appearances on various television shows and movies including "Comedy Central Presents," "The Tonight Show," "Ellen," "The Jeff Dunham Show," "30 Rock" and "Dinner for Schmucks," among others, Dunham has accrued such a following worldwide that that even Guinness World Records took notice and recently named Dunham as the world record holder for "Most Tickets Sold for a Stand-up Comedy Tour" for his "Spark of Insanity" tour, which sold 1,981,720 tickets and played 386 venues around the world.
In a recent Comedy Central special, "Minding the Monsters" takes audiences to a haunted house where the award-winning comedian and his puppets take on a spooky persona. Walter transforms into something grumpier than he already is, Bubba J rises from the dead, Peanut cracks into his alter ego, The Purple Avenger of the Night, and his spicy sidekick and witness Achmed show what it means to be literally dressed to kill.
His fourth Comedy Central TV special, "Controlled Chaos," premiered in September 2011 to 8.3 million viewers, making it the most viewed cable show that night. The global TV event enjoyed a never before simultaneous same day worldwide debut in a dozen countries. He continued to break records at the end of 2011 when the Biography Channel's premiere of "Jeff Dunham: Birth of a Dummy" became the network's No. 1 broadcast of all time.
Dunham was voted Funniest Male Stand-up Comic at the American Comedy Awards, and he was voted No. 1 in Comedy Central's Stand-up Showdown. The New York Times Magazine declared Jeff Dunham "the most successful comedian working in America." Dunham was also named Pollstar's No. 1 Comedy Tour in North America for three years running as well as their Top Worldwide Tour for the second year in a row.
In addition, Dunham's undeniable talent placed him on Forbes magazine's Celebrity 100 roster of most powerful entertainers for the past two years. His book "All By My Selves: Walter, Peanut, Achmed, and Me" debuted in 2010 and climbed to the New York Times Best Seller list for three weeks earning a five star reader rating on Amazon.com.
Dunham recently went on his fourth trip to Europe where he performed in the United Kingdom, Belgium and Germany. He also completed a trip to South Africa, where he performed to sold-out crowds in the nation's biggest venues.
