Jerry Seinfeld's unique brand of observational humor has made him a huge success as a stand-up comic and as a television star.
The famed funnyman found his calling immediately after his college graduation at an amateur tryout at New York's Catch A Rising Star comedy club. Successful in his audition, he began performing at local comedy clubs and would go on to make appearances in television shows before an appearance on the "Tonight Show" skyrocketed his comedy career.
From here, Seinfeld gained his fan base with his smash hit sitcom "Seinfeld" that TV Guide ranked the comedy No. 1 on its 2002 list of the "50 Greatest Shows of All Time." Co-creating and co-writing this show where he played a semi-fictional character of himself, Seinfeld found great success and became a beloved household name.
Over the years Seinfeld has continued to be featured in the media including special appearances on various TV shows. In 2006, he was a special guest on "Saturday Night Live" when Julia Louis-Dreyfus was hosting. The following year, he guest-starred as himself in the "30 Rock" episode "SeinfeldVision."
In addition to his comedy career Seinfeld is also a best-selling author. His book "Seinlanguage," released in 1993, became a No. 1 New York Times bestseller.
Having spent much of his life performing around the world, it is evident that funny resides in every one of Seinfeld's bones and his two-night Las Vegas engagement will undoubtedly prove that to be true.
While no stranger to the small screen, Seinfeld continues to tour as a stand-up comic. His hilarious observations on everything from relationships to common social situations continue to be a hit with fans across the country.
Don't miss your chance to catch this comedic icon when he takes The Colosseum stage for a two-night engagement this spring.
