Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Los Lonely Boys are co-headlining a rockin' night at the Palms in Las Vegas.
Shepherd became a blues sensation while still a teen. The self-taught guitarist decided on a career in music after joining New Orleans blues musician Brian Lee onstage when he was just 13 and kept the crowd's attention for hours.
Shepherd later formed a band, featuring Corey Sterling as lead singer, and gained exposure through club dates and radio conventions. His father and manager used his contacts in the record industry to get Shepherd a contract. "Ledbetter Heights" was an instant hit, selling 500,000 records in the first few months of its release in late 1995. His fifth album, "Goin' Home," was released in May 2014.
Grammy award-winning artists Los Lonely Boys is made up of three brothers who all sing. Each one also plays an instrument, creating a unique combination of rock, blues, Tex-Mex, conjunto and Tejano.
In 2014, the band released "Revelation," which stays true to its bluesy rock sound while infusing it with some reggae, conjunto and baroque pop.
