Selling more than 50 million albums worldwide since their self-titled debut, rap-metal band Korn has taken the world by storm with their music.

The band is releasing its 11th studio album, "The Paradigm Shift," in mid-October. The band is wrapping up its fall tour with special guests Asking Alexandria and Love and Death with a performance at the Pearl in the Palms.

It wasn't until the group's second album, "Life Is Peachy," that Korn received recognition from both fans and the media.

"Follow the Leader" appeared in 1998 and debuted at No. 1. The album was an instant hit with singles like "Got the Life" and "Freak on a Leash."

Korn's 1999 album, "Issues," also debuted at No. 1 with the help of the single "Falling Away from Me."

After a three-year hiatus from recording, Korn released "Untouchables" in 2002 and "Take a Look in the Mirror" in 2003.

In 2005, the band released the No. 3 album "See You on the Other Side," which featured Korn's signature heavy guitars augmented by the funky pop sensibilities of the Matrix production team. A hot single, "Twisted Transistor," spawned a popular video that cast today's biggest hip-hop stars in the roles of the band members.

The band performed sans electric instruments on MTV's "Unplugged" series in 2007, and the performance was subsequently released as an album. Their eighth studio album, left untitled by the band, was also released in 2007.
