Las Vegas Philharmonic: Masterworks Series III "Battle Born - Nevada Proud!"

On October 31, 1864, Nevada became the 36th state to enter the union of the United States of America. In this, the Las Vegas Philharmonic's first concert of the Sesquicentennial, we proudly shine the spotlight on the talents of University of Nevada, Reno graduate and San Francisco Symphony Resident Conductor, Donato Cabrera, Reno-born, Grammy Award-winning UNLV alumnus, composer Eric Whitacre and the winner of the prestigious 2014 Primrose International Viola Competition that is being held in Las Vegas for the first time in January.

This concert is part of the Las Vegas Philharmonic's Masterworks Series.
