The immensely popular Hammer single “U Can’t Touch This” may have propelled him into stardom, but albums and tracks like “Feel My Power,” “Let’s Get It Started,” and “Too Legit to Quit” have been best-sellers, award winners and popular favorites since 1987.
For a time, Hammer even had a U.S. television adventure cartoon based on him called “Hammerman,” while Hammer pants, dance moves, glasses and haircut became staples of the '90s.
Hammer has won numerous awards including three Grammy Awards, seven American Music Awards, The People’s Choice Award, and the prestigious Billboard “Diamond Award.”
Appearing with Hammer is Tone Loc, who got in the spotlight with “Wild Thing” in 1989 and has gone on to earn plenty of acclaim as a rapper and actor since then. His album “Loc-ed After Dark” became the second rap release to top the pop charts and remains one of the most popular of all time.
Tone Loc has appeared in memorable film and TV roles in “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective,” “Heat,” “Poetic Justice,” “Surf Ninjas,” “Blank Check,” “Early Edition,” “News Radio” and “Chowder.”
