Of Monsters and Men is an amiable group of day dreamers who craft folkie pop songs. The normally mild-mannered six pack transformed into total rock stars after stomping out their competition during Músiktilraunir, a yearly battle of the bands in their native Iceland. With the group's bright, trumpeting single "Little Talks" winning over one blog at a time, co-singer/guitarist Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir and her bandmates are well on their way to becoming citizens of the world. Of Monsters and Men released its first full length album, My Head Is an Animal, worldwide in early 2012.
Formed in 2008, Local Natives craft their dramatic and eclectic brand of indie rock from their home base in Los Angeles. Featuring guitarists Ryan Hahn and Taylor Rice, keyboardist Kelcey Ayer and drummer Matt Frazier, Local Natives' debut album, Gorilla Manor, arrived in the U.K. in 2009 and in the U.S. the next year. In January 2013, the band released its sophomore album, Hummingbird, featuring the single "Breakers."
