Pat Benatar's polished mainstream pop/rock style made her one of the more popular female vocalists of the early '80s. Although she came on like an arena rocker with her power chords, tough sexuality, and powerful vocals, her music was straight pop/rock underneath all the bluster. Benatar achieved eight Top 10 hits on the Billboard charts and achieved great success in the early 90's. In 1988, her success nearly topped the charts at No. 2 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart with "All Fired Up."
