One of the biggest teen idols of the '50s, Paul Anka moved to adult charts several years later and became a successful performer, songwriter, businessman, and recording artist. His first big single, "Diana," an ode to a former babysitter, hit No. 1 worldwide in 1957, eventually selling a reported ten million copies worldwide. "Diana" is the second biggest selling single of all time behind "White Christmas." Anka also wrote the theme song to the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.
