Rodney Carrington

Country musician and comedian Rodney Carrington, a native of Longview, Texas, built a cult following through his regular exposure on syndicated morning radio shows, at the same time relentlessly touring the nation's comedy club circuit.

He starred in the 2004 - 2006 ABC TV sitcom "Rodney" and in the 2008 film "Beer for My Horses."

His debut LP, "Hangin' with Rodney," appeared in mid 1998; "Rodney Carrington: Live" followed a year later. "Morning Wood," his debut album for Capitol Records, debuted at No. 1 on the comedy charts in 2000, where it remained in the top three for over 43 weeks.

Atypical of most other comedians in this genre, Carrington's songs and bits can be heard on a consistent basis across the country on both rock and country radio stations. The cross format radio airplay has earned him a diverse demographic of loyal fans. In addition, three music videos "She's More of a Man," "Dancin' with a Man" and "Fred," have enjoyed heavy rotation on the television music channels.

The 2004 album "Greatest Hits" contained Carrington's personally selected favorites and remained steadily in the top ten on the comedy charts
