Rodney Carrington

Country musician and comedian Rodney Carrington, a native of Longview, Texas, built a cult following through his regular exposure on syndicated morning radio shows, at the same time relentlessly touring the nation's comedy club circuit.

His debut LP, "Hangin' with Rodney," appeared in mid 1998; "Rodney Carrington: Live" followed a year later. "Morning Wood," his debut album for Capitol Records, debuted at No. 1 on the comedy charts in 2000, where it remained in the top three for over 43 weeks. The 2004 album "Greatest Hits" contained Carrington's personally selected favorites and remained steadily in the Top 10 on the comedy charts.

Carrington starred in the 2004 - 2006 ABC TV sitcom "Rodney" and in the 2008 film "Beer for My Horses." In 2009, Carrington released his sixth album, "El Niño Loco," composed entirely of songs, a first for the performer. Later in 2009, Carrington released his first Christmas album, "Make It Christmas." The first single from the album, "Camouflage and Christmas Lights" became his first Top 40 country hit in December 2009.

In 2014 Carrington had two comedy specials air on CMT (the previously released "Live At The Majestic" and the brand new "Laughter's Good." He also recorded the intro song and video for Colin's Football Show on ESPN that airs every Sunday during the 2014 NFL season.

Atypical of most other comedians in this genre, Carrington's songs and bits can be heard on a consistent basis across the country on both rock and country radio stations. The cross format radio airplay has earned him a diverse demographic of loyal fans. In addition, several music videos "She's More of a Man," "Dancin' with a Man," "Fred" and "If I'm the Only One," have enjoyed heavy rotation on the television music channels.

Be sure to catch this funnyman when he takes the Vegas stage his winter.
