Peters started performing in 1989 and his big break came when a YouTube video of his performance on the Canadian comedy series "Comedy Now!" went viral. His widespread popularity spurred performance dates around the world and since his rise to fame, the Canadian comedian has been listed on the Forbes List as one of the top 10 Highest Earning Comics in the United States in 2009 and 2010.

However charitable, Peters has given away more than a million dollars to various charities and has continued on his career as a comedian with various television and movie appearances. Among his major credits are his role in "Chef," "Breakaway" and "National Lampoon's The Legend of Awesomest Maximus" in addition to appearances on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "Lopez Tonight," "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" and on HBO, CNN, MTV, BBC and Al Jazeera.
