Vampire Weekend, featuring Ezra Koenig, Chris Baio, Rostam Batmanglij and Chris Tomson, came together in early 2006 while its members were attending school at Columbia University. The group released its self-titled debut album in early 2008, which debuted within the Top 20 of both the American and U.K. album charts and went on to become one of the year's most popular indie releases. Following two years on the road, Vampire Weekend released its second album, Contra, in early 2010. The band's third album is due out this year.
