Monte Carlo Race and Sports Book Review
The Monte Carlo race and sports book, on the main casino concourse between the poker room and Lance Burton theater, is a nice room with 15 television and a 12-foot-by-12-foot big screen and seating for more than 100.
But for a Strip property, race and sports book director Cavin Kishi thinks it can be much more. And in 2008, it will be.
“We’re going to upgrade the seating, upgrade the televisions, add more televisions, and do whatever we can to make the room bigger and create a more player-friendly environment,” Kishi said. “We have big plans. We want to be more luxurious and have bigger and better screens.”
Upgrades are happening throughout the hotel, and Kishi said the race and sports book is a big part of it.
Until then, the book still provides the same level of service for high- and low-limit players as any property in the MGM-Mirage chain.
“Because of construction, our hands are kind of tied right now. But once you get in here, accessibility to everything is easy. If you are staying anywhere on the Strip, we are very accessible, very easy to get to,” Kishi said.
And once you’re in the book, you’re in the same betting environment as the Mirage or Mandalay Bay.
“We can offer the same limits as any MGM-Mirage property. We’re tied in with them. If you wanna bet $50,000 on a game, we’ll take it without blinking an eye. We can offer the same limits and lines as any MGM Mirage property anywhere in the state.”
Monte Carlo race and sports book players can also take advantage of the upscale hotel’s other amenities, most notably, the renowned Monte Carlo Brew Pub.
