The shooting range site is located on 2,900 acres. The actual shooting area, however, is much smaller as a larger area was planned to provide a buffer around the shooting area to provide increased safety. The Public Module presently encompasses 178 acres, and the entire build out will utilize approximately 900 acres. The rest of the 2,000 acres is being managed as a desert natural area and is protected from the off road vehicle damage, random shooting, and criminal activities that previously occurred on the property. This modern shooting range has been designed to protect the environment while providing safe shooting opportunities for the public and complies with all federal, state, and local codes and ordinances.
In addition a 5-Star Sporting Clay Course is also open to the public. With 30 shooting stations over 75 acres, the clay course is one-of-a-kind, with dramatic views of the Las Vegas valley. The design by world-renowned outdoorsman and course designer Marty Fischer also involves subtle rolling hills developed around each shooting station, providing each with its own intimate environment. Unlike sporting clay stations at most other courses, this course features three shooting positions at each station for a total of 90. The shooting positions will also be labeled in red, white & blue indicating degrees of difficulty associated with the position. Two of the stations offer targets running on the ground, while the others simulate birds in flight.
