Flamingo

Bright, bold and full of history, the Flamingo is a bucket list stay for those enamored by classic Las Vegas lore. While Bugsy Siegel’s original Flamingo was torn down in 1993, today’s Flamingo has everything you’d expect from a storied Las Vegas Strip resort.

The centerpiece of the Flamingo is undoubtedly the enormous casino, with more than 1,600 slot machines, countless table games, a poker room and a race and sports book.

For breakfast, lunch, or dinner, check out the Paradise Garden Buffet, which offers favorites like a 20-ounce ribeye and a 24-ounce porterhouse for the hungriest diners. Look up from your steak for a moment though—the restaurant features beautiful views of the Flamingo’s lush gardens, where ducks, swans, turtles, koi fish, and yes, Chilean flamingos, make their home in the ponds and three-story waterfall.

If you’re in a partying mindset, put on your favorite Hawaiian shirt, grab your flip flops, and swing into Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville. This crazy, Caribbean-themed entertainment complex has food, flair bartenders shaking up tropical drinks and roaming entertainers. Margaritaville even has its own casino, complete with 22 tables, 220 slot machines, and the musically-inspired 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar.

Live entertainment options abound too, including music and television icons Donny and Marie, the longest running celebrity tribute show in the world, “Legends in Concert,” X Burlesque and Piff the Magic Dragon.

Oh, and if you’re feeling romantic during your trip, why not make things official? You’re just steps away from the Flamingo’s Garden Chapel.

There is valet and self-parking. Guests will be charged $8 per day for self-parking and $13 per day for valet parking. Hourly self-parking and valet rates vary.
