Ladies and gentlemen -- start your engines! Learn to drive like a true race car driver and experience the pure rush of a 600 horsepower NASCAR style stock car that speeds up to 137 miles per hour.
Your driving experience itinerary:
- 30 minutes before scheduled driving time: Arrive at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for check-in.
- 5 minute orientation: Meet the RPDE staff and watch a video featuring Richard Petty.
- 20 minutes of driving instruction: Learn from your crew chief how to master the track driving line, acceleration/ deceleration points and following distance.
- 25 minutes of mechanical and safety instruction: Learn the details of the race car including entry and exit, shifting pattern, safety devices and more.
- 10 minute mandatory driver’s meeting: Finalize details, ask last minute questions and have your photo taken next to a RPDE car.
- 1 hour driving experience: During your eight-lap ride around the track, your instructor will sit in the car with you, providing immediate feedback. Driving time may vary.
- 15 minute closing ceremony: You will receive a graduation pack, including a detailed lap sheet and a certificate with name, date and estimated top goal speed reached.
Participants should arrive 30 minutes prior to their scheduled driving time for check-in with their valid drivers license and also allow time for completing Liability Waiver and Medical Form. Participants must be at least 16 years of age with a valid drivers license. Students will be issued a driving suit for the class Participants must have the ability to climb through a 15-inch high by 30-inch wide window that sits 36 inches from the ground. The largest driving uniform size is a 3X.
Guests who book this tour with transportation may bring one guest to accompany them on the shuttle to the track. The tour also includes the driver release fee.
