Bugsy Siegel’s lust for extravagance set the scene for modern-day Las Vegas. Paying homage to Siegel and his inner circle of original mobsters, El Cortez Hotel & Casino introduced Siegel’s 1941. The 24-hour restaurant seats 150 guests at wooden tabletops, dramatic red leather booths, and a separate bar with additional seating. An impressive display of archival artworks completes the look giving guests a glimpse of the city’s past. Siegel’s 1941 offers extensive menus filled with modern twists on classic American standards. Signature items include Roast Prime Rib of Beef Au Jus, Seasonal Stone Crab and Matzo Ball Soup with Challah, Fat Irish Green Corned Beef Hash, the Seven Layer Lasagna Bolognese, the Classic Shrimp Scampi, and the Monte Cristo. In a nod to Bugsy’s inner circle, the menu also hosts a selection of Bugsy’s Burgers featuring charbroiled half-pound burgers including the Lucky Luciano Burger with marinara, caramelized onion, Romano cheese and fresh mozzarella, the Meyer Lansky Burger with pastrami, Swiss cheese, house made coleslaw, pickles and Russian Dressing, the Virginia Hill “Flamingo” Burger a turkey burger with avocado, tomato marmalade, Monterrey jack cheese and onion rings and the Moe Green Veggie with grilled Portobello for the vegetarian mobsters.
