1 OAK Las Vegas Review

1 OAK is "one of a kind" - it's right in the name. This 1 OAK name is taken from the sister club in New York City, but the space, formerly Jet nightclub, plays host to wild nights that can only happen in Sin City.

Located near the valet and parking garage entrances, across from King Ink, 1 OAK is a modestly-sized club, but makes good use of space. The 16,000-square-foot venue can be set up as two separate rooms with their own bar, sound and lighting system, and music selection. The two rooms can be combined into one large room for capacity events and special guests, which have included Pitbull, Fergie and Bruno Mars. Expect a combination of electronic, hip-hop and Top 40 in rotation, with more options on two-room nights.

The club has a dark and luxurious look to it, with aged brass framing much of the artwork on display. Created by Roy Nachum, the portraits add a mysterious and artful vibe to an already intimate venue.

When using the full space, the dance floor is adjacent to the DJ booth, close enough to the main bar to grab a drink without having to make a long trek back when your favorite track is playing. VIPs can get a table close to the dance floor, or some more secluded seating near the second bar, as well.

Just don't think of 1 OAK as an NYC-style nightlife experience transplanted into Las Vegas. It's really its own thing -- being anything else would betray the name, after all.
