CatHouse Boutique Nightclub Review

CatHouse harkens back to an era that's both elegant and wildly untamed. Styled as if it were a 19th-century brothel, the club has an old-fashioned look with dark tones and warm lighting that feels more natural than the over-the-top lighting you find at some places.

CatHouse is made up of two parts: CatHouse Boutique Nightclub and Doohan's Bar and Lounge, with admission giving you access to both sides. While Doohan's remains a bit more laid back, the nightclub half has an extra splash of color -- mostly vivid reds -- thrown into the mix, with cushy booths and go-go dancer platforms adding some excitement to the party.

Details range from chandeliers to old-fashioned wall stenciling to ornate wall and ceiling decorations. Doohan's has a fun bar vibe - not overly pretentious, but not quite approaching college bar status - and when you're in the CatHouse half you can expect a similar crowd, but with a whole different kind of energy and more of a dance-centric set list from the DJ.

Doohan's was once a restaurant, but now lives as a saloon-style bar with its own VJs thrown into the mix playing the hottest Top 40 music and videos on screens located throughout the venue. You can get a table and a bottle for your group on both sides, but at Doohan's you can also roll up your sleeves and shoot some pool.

With two distinct venues for the price of one and a very different, but very cool theme to it, CatHouse just might be the place to be to find yourself a good time.
