Eve Review
At the risk of going for the most obvious of all openers:
It's all about Eve.
Before you roll your eyes, just go with it for a little bit.
Eve, located inside Crystals (located inside CityCenter), is the culmination of what Las Vegas nightlife has been working toward for years.
There's that aforementioned prime location, there's a paired restaurant -- Beso, which sits below Eve. There's management that knows what it's doing (Eva Longoria Parker, who has a similar club/restaurant combo in L.A.) and there's more than a little opulence.
The club is laid out around a circular dance floor, with podiums for dancers and bars just off to the sides. There's flashy decorations, arched ceilings and a mind-blowing sound/video system, but there are also some more subtle touches that add to the whole Eve experience.
With actual, honest-to-God windows, Eve is able to not only remind everyone of its own coolness factor, but of the surrounding city's. Amazing views of CityCenter (and Vegas) at night remind everybody that, oh yeah, this is a place for partying.
The booths and table seating are positioned in such a way that you can grab one right in the action, or one off a little bit, making the night totally customizable for every type of group.
There's also enough space not just to dance, but to maneuver. It's not one Vegas' sprawling, mega-clubs, in fact, it's plenty intimate, but there's no reason to be sitting on the lap of the person next to you -- unless of course that's where you want to be.
Plus, and not to hammer this home too much, the location can't be beat. It's right in the heart of the newest and brightest of Vegas' resorts and with a dinner spot like Beso just downstairs, it's not too much of a stretch to imagine spending your entire evening (or day, if you count shopping at Crystals) in the complex.
So, OK, sure it was obvious, but really -- it is all about Eve.
