Gold Boutique Nightclub and Lounge Review

If you're an Elvis lover or a fan of Graceland, you'll feel right at home at Gold Boutique Nightclub and Lounge.

That said, if you're a party lover or a fan of, uh, fun, you'll also feel right at home at Gold Boutique Nightclub and Lounge.

Coming from the Light Group, in conjunction with Cirque du Soleil (who's putting on Viva Elvis just across the hall), Gold is an Elvis-inspired place to kick back, but not necessarily live out Blue Suede Shoes.

As Beth Bartolini, director of public relations for Light Group, put it, they wanted, "more of a place where Elvis would hang out, not own and live."

The lounge, a good sized space with two bars, is decked out in golds and dark colors, while maintaining an effect that can best be described as shiny.

There are more than a few interesting decorations (those inspired by Elvis/Graceland). Keep an eye out for a stallion lamp -- and the guy in your group who's going to try and mount it. There are pony-hair chairs and plenty of table space for bottle service. And there's monkey detailing (like the animal) in everything from the gates outside to the floors near the bathrooms.

(Yes, we said bathrooms. On property, in the venue. No more long treks across casino floors. This is a much bigger deal than it seems, we promise.)

A DJ booth is in the back gold wall, out of the way, freeing up valuable move-around space.

If all this is making you feel like honoring Elvis (as it should), you can honor him food style, as Gold serves up a menu of Elvis inspired treats -- everything from yellowtail sashimi to jelly donuts.

Because of Gold's proximity to the Viva Elvis theater, it's an awesome place to hit up before or after the show, but because Light Group went the extra mile, it's also an awesome place just to hang out.

Viva Las Vegas, right?
