Hyde Bellagio Review

Ah, the good life. Hyde, the part club, part lounge hybrid at Bellagio, offers a coveted place to sip hand-muddled cocktails. Hyde's indoor / outdoor space and patio is right on the Bellagio Lake, making it a chic place to take in the gorgeous scenery of the Fountains at Bellagio and the Las Vegas Strip.

Hyde has a laid-back vibe in contrast to other nightclubs. While there is a DJ booth that houses renowned DJ's as well as up-and-coming DJ's, the venue doesn't have a dance floor -- although there is room to dance at your table if the music moves you.

Another unique feature is that Hyde offers food. If you're hungry, try a dish off the menu from neighboring restaurant, Circo. A select menu offers small plates such as caviar, artisanal cheese plate, flatbread and Kobe beef sliders. These dishes will be delivered to your table at Hyde, so you never miss a beat.

Hyde's 10,000 square-foot space includes two bars, four rooms and a patio, each area with a distinct theme in décor, as if they were rooms in an urban penthouse. The upper bar takes on a vanity-like theme, with glamorous mismatched mirrors along the back wall and a glossy black bar.

Step down into the grand salon with fabulous chandeliers, cognac-colored leather sofas and a grand mantel composed of petrified wood encasing a fireplace on one side and a DJ booth on the other.

If you need your beverage refreshed, head to the second bar, with large windows that open out to Lake Bellagio. This slightly smaller bar features cocktails like the Cucumber Watermelon Margarita, Hyde's signature drink.

If you'd like to catch the Fountains at Bellagio show, head to the terrace. Large topiaries and olive trees, linen slip-covered booths and black and white-striped sofas are situated with a perfect view of Lake Bellagio.

If you want to both see and be seen, reserve the circular VIP booth in the center of the patio. It offers a great view of the Fountains, the Strip and Hyde itself.
