LAX Nightclub Review
LAX at the Luxor offers two stories of nightlife options, blending both modern design with flourishes reminiscent of classic Hollywood. Although the trend in nightlife lately has been toward having a few smaller rooms with different types of music playing, LAX is a big, two-story space for one massive party.
When you head up the stairs from the Luxor into the club, you'll pass through a hallway that empties out into a large, round room with red accent lighting. From here, you can head to the elegant upper hallway or the grand staircase, which brings you down to the dance floor.
The dance floor is pretty standard - a long rectangle tucked between a VIP booth area, the elevated DJ booth and second VIP area, with a bar and another staircase at the far end. Whether you're up against the DJ booth or just stay to one side at the bar, the layout enables you to have a pretty good view of the rest of the club.
A balcony-style second floor looks over the first story. Lots of mirrors and chandeliers highlight the hallway running past these private balcony VIP areas, which feature booth seating made of red leather with privacy curtains. These booths have a great view of the action below, but since they're on the second floor, they're literally above the fray.
The second floor is also home to another bar, with just enough space for some dancing and or just hanging out. If it gets packed, you can always head down that second staircase back to the first floor instead of traversing all the way back to the entrance room.
Even though it's essentially one large space, LAX still offers plenty of variety to clubgoers and a vibrant party atmosphere that anyone could enjoy.
