Wet Republic Review
With two saltwater pools (to save your lovely locks from chlorine) and a dedicated valet just for the pool, Wet Republic is definitely diving in headfirst. In addition to 10 regular cabanas, we hear there's also supposed to be six "super" cabanas, (complete with amenities like a private astroturf lawn), and three VIP hot tubs. Add that to more than 100 lounge chairs and daybeds surrounding the pool and you've got yourself a ton of combinations for chilling out in the Vegas heat.
And what would nightlife in the daytime be without some music? Wet Republic is set to have a DJ whose tunes will be pumped not only into the air, but into the sea as well -- 12 speakers are submerged underwater for your listening pleasure as you doggy paddle along.
It's hard to say just what exactly is in store for MGM Grand's new "daylife" concept (or Wet Republic, for those not paying attention), but one thing's for sure -- it's going to make a splash.
