Hogs & Heifers Saloon Review
This New York City-based bar was the original inspiration for the film "Coyote Ugly" (and the subsequent chain of bars/clubs). "The only person with attitude in the bar is the woman behind it" is the philosophy at Hogs & Heifers, and frills are nowhere to be found: no specialty cocktails, no dress codes, no ties, no guest list, and no whining are allowed.
Although the bar has bike parking right in front and hosts a Bike Night every Wednesday, it's not just Harley owners that make a habit out of stopping into Hogs and Heifers – it's those in search of a good time. Owner Michelle Dell opened Hogs – only the second in the country (the original is in New York) – about two years ago. At any given time, Dell has about 10 to 14 bartenders ready to put patrons in their place, which may just be on top of the bar, dancing.
