Looking for a cool enclave of conversation and beverage-sipping in downtown Las Vegas? At the Griffin, one of the newest bars in the redeveloping Fremont East district, you'll find nooks aplenty for nocturnal, candlelit conviviality. Looking like the evocative interior of a European castle – the real deal, not the fantasy kind – the Griffin features comfortable seating and dramatic fireplaces that urge you to settle in.
The Griffin is a lowly lit place to be sure, and it definitely gives off a moody feeling. But you're not going to lean forward to tell your cocktail your woes at this watering hole. Instead, you'll want to shift to the side and tell your friend, new or old, a little secret. It's the kind of place that will put you in a chatty, friendly mindset.
The Griffin is a real keeper.
