Buffalo Bill's, located 48 miles south of Vegas on the California/Nevada state line, is an oasis to road-weary travelers and like any good oasis, Buffalo Bill's offers rest, relaxation and restaurants.

Buffalo Bill's is the first thing you'll see entering Primm, Nev., after driving through the California desert from Los Angeles or San Diego.

Amenities include a 46,000-square-foot casino, a race and sports book, a buffalo-shaped swimming pool and several dining options, including Miss Ashley's Boarding House Buffet, Tony Roma's Famous For Ribs, Wagonmaster Coffee Shop and a food court.

The main attraction at Buffalo Bill's is the Desperado, one of the tallest and fastest roller coasters in the country. If you're brave, you'll be treated to a 225-foot drop and speeds in excess of 85 mph. If you're looking for something a little more tame, there's always the Turbo Drop, a tower that shoots riders straight down at 45 mph. A log flume ride also cuts a swath through the center of the casino floor.

If you prefer your entertainment in a showroom, Buffalo Bill's can offer that too -- a 6,500-seat arena that has hosted big-name headliners as well as fun family shows like the Ice Capades.
